Wilton Manors · Broward County

Office vending in Wilton Manors, FL. Grab-and-go coolers for Wilton Drive and Andrews Avenue.

Wilton Manors is about 2 square miles, almost fully built out and surrounded by the forks of the Middle River. Its offices are smaller and older than downtown Fort Lauderdale's, and a smart cooler can fit those spaces.

Our 100 machines are spread throughout Palm Beach and Broward County.

The usual problem

Small break rooms, few lunch options nearby.

In an office on a busy road, a lunch run can take most of the break. A cooler in the building solves that.

  • No room for a cafeIn a built-out city, offices rarely have space for a kitchen. A cooler needs about as much floor space as a fridge and one outlet.
  • An old snack machineIf a coin machine has sat in the hallway for years, we will take it out and put a smart cooler in, free.
  • Staff on long shiftsCare providers and nonprofits work long days. Sandwiches and protein shakes go further than a bag of chips.
  • Mixed-use buildingsNew buildings on Andrews Avenue mix uses. We place coolers in the workplace part, not in residential areas.

About the area

Who works in the Island City.

City Hall is at 2020 Wilton Drive, the heart of the city's Arts and Entertainment District. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance lists the City, Kids in Distress, Marrinson Senior Care and Publix among the employers. Along Andrews Avenue, the city has reviewed mixed-use redevelopment proposals, including one at 3058 to 3064 North Andrews Avenue.

For most offices here, the real question is headcount. Give us your usual daily headcount. Sixty-plus people in the building is the usual bar.

Older buildings, newer buildings

Fitting a cooler into a Wilton Manors office.

Much of the office space in Wilton Manors is in low, older buildings, some of them converted from other uses. Break rooms there tend to be small and outlets are limited. Newer mixed-use projects proposed for Andrews Avenue would likely include purpose-built office floors, which are easier to plan for. In either case we ask three things: the size of the daily headcount, where breaks happen, and who has to approve an appliance in that space. For a nonprofit or care provider with staff coming and going all day, payment by tapped card or phone suits every schedule.
