Pompano is mostly warehouses and distribution. Is a smart cooler still relevant?
Yes, because almost every one of those buildings has a front office, a dispatch desk or a break room where people eat. The city describes Pompano Beach as Broward's largest industrial, warehouse and distribution submarket, with more than 28 million square feet of industrial space. If your office staff and floor staff share a break room, one cooler can serve both, and it is open around the clock.
Where are Pompano's office clusters?
They are smaller and more spread out than in Fort Lauderdale. Several mid-size office buildings sit along Powerline Road south of Atlantic Boulevard, near the Palm Aire community, with the Turnpike and I-95 a short drive away. The city's industrial and business parks, such as Atlantic Business Center, Park Central and the Powerline industrial area, put office suites next to warehouse and light industrial space.
Does a marine business near the Hillsboro Inlet qualify?
It can. The city lists marine, tourism and entertainment among its leading industries, and the Hillsboro Inlet gives Pompano direct access to the Atlantic. If your team starts early or stays late, a cooler that is open 24/7 helps. What counts for us is how many people are in the building on a normal weekday.
There is talk of a new downtown. Should we wait for it?
No need. The city's CRA has a master plan for an Innovation District, also called New Downtown, on roughly 70 acres near MLK Boulevard, Atlantic Boulevard and I-95, and the plan includes a lot of office space. Projects like that take time to build. If your office is open today, we can look at it today, and if you move into a new building later, we can look at that one too.
A lot of our team takes Tri-Rail. Does that change anything?
It changes what people need nearby. The Pompano Beach Tri-Rail station is on NW 8th Avenue, and the city also lists I-95 and the Turnpike as its main road links. Anyone who comes in by train has no car handy at lunch, so a cooler in the break room saves them a trip. Sandwiches, protein shakes and cold drinks cover most of that.
Do you also serve Lighthouse Point and Deerfield Beach?
Both are next door and we take requests from each. Send the address in the form and we will confirm coverage for your building.
What size office do you need?
We look for about 60 people on site on a normal day. Office staff and warehouse staff count together, so a distribution company with a small front office may still qualify.
We have a snack machine nobody uses. Can you take it out?
Yes. We swap an old machine for a smart cooler at no cost and handle the changeover with your property manager.
