The city has been working on its own redevelopment. Its "Tomorrow's Tamarac" page names the Nouveau Quarter, the University Medical Mile, Four Corners, and mixed-use areas at Commercial Boulevard and McNab Road. Tamarac also describes itself as a Platinum Permitting City through the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, runs a Business Concierge Program and offers tenant improvement grants. All of that says the city wants new office tenants, and the Office of Economic Development and Redevelopment is at city hall on NW 88th Avenue for companies that want to talk to someone about moving in.
