About the city
The city says it has about 58,000 residents. Its MainStreet project, with the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and the 23-acre Promenade, is the center of its plan for a walkable downtown. Away from MainStreet, the industrial and flex space sits around Lyons Road, in properties like the Lyons Technology Center, a six-building, 232,833-square-foot park near Lyons and Johnson Roads. Offices in either part of the city can ask. The city also runs an economic development incentive program, with a commercial rehabilitation grant, job growth incentives and industrial revenue bonds, so a company that is relocating or expanding has more to ask about than lunch. The MainStreet development agreement the city commission considered in 2025 covers about 200 acres and allows buildings up to eight stories.
Choosing a spot
A flex building has offices in front and open floor behind. The break room is usually the one place the two groups meet, so that is where a cooler would go.
At MainStreet, businesses share a development with retail and a casino. Offices there have a landlord or manager who decides what goes where, and we work with them.
Business parks like these usually have several tenants each. Lyons Business Park, at 6601 Lyons Road, is a 26-acre campus of ten one-story buildings, and the city's Lyons Technology Center was built between 2002 and 2004. With several tenants in one park, the property manager is the first call, and we make it. The six-building Lyons Technology Center and the ten-building business park are both in the Lyons Road area, so the same questions about access come up for each.
